Florent Linard: An Inspired Chef, Between Tradition and Boldness
A Calling Born from Emotion
From a very young age, Florent Linard has lived in a world where cooking means sharing, authentic flavors, and exceptional ingredients. Raised by a mother and grandmother who were both passionate about food, he inherited a family culinary legacy that he continues to celebrate today.
A Journey of Excellence
Unlike many others, Florent Linard discovered his passion not behind the stove, but in the art of service. After earning a BTS in Hospitality Management from the Jean-Monnet High School in Limoges, he trained with some of the finest establishments: Michelin-starred restaurants in the region (La Chapelle Saint-Martin*, Le Moulin de la Gorce*), then the two-starred Le Puits Saint-Jacques** in the Gers, and finally the three-starred Hôtel de Ville de Crissier*** in Switzerland — named the world’s best restaurant in 2016. These experiences taught him the discipline and high standards of fine dining.
Return to France
In 2016, after his experience in Switzerland, he returned to Toulouse where he and his partners launched up to four ventures (Les Passionnées, Vivants, Le Bagel Français, Assoiffées, between 2016 and 2023). It was during this time, for the first project, that he stepped into the kitchen — and never left it again. His cooking evolved with experience, starting off simply, then becoming more refined and elegant over time.
The Call of Home
In 2023, Florent Linard felt the call of his roots. He chose Rochechouart, in Haute-Vienne, to open La Table de Florent in April 2025 — a charming haven nestled in the park of the Manoir des Perrières. Here, everything is designed to make guests feel at home: a warm dining room, an open kitchen, and an atmosphere that’s both elegant and relaxed.
A Well-Deserved Recognition
In 2025, Florent Linard was awarded the “Jeune Talent” (Young Talent) prize by the Gault & Millau guide for the South-West region — a recognition of his instinctive approach and commitment to genuine gastronomy.
At La Table de Florent, every meal is an invitation to discover the very essence of cuisine: quality ingredients, demanding craftsmanship, and that special touch of magic that makes all the difference.
